This table shows all of the Library's journal subscriptions which cost over $1500 in Fiscal Year 1996/1997. The subscriptions are sorted in descending order by price. The Use column represents the number of times an issue from that title was used in the library during FY96/97. Use is only recorded for issues published during the last three years, so the number is representative. The Index column represents the ratio of the Price column to the Use column. This is not a true cost per use as used in the literature, because the use column covers three years of issues, while the cost column is for a single subscription year. However, the Index column does indicate the relative cost-effectiveness of journals in the study.
