This is a collection of 28 medical texts, including the Merck Manual of Diagnosis
and Therapy, Stedman's Medical Dictionary, and MedCalc3000. Does
a good job covering the primary care specialties and includes a general surgery
text.
Books @ Ovid
A collection of 45 textbooks including several major medical and lab test books
(Manual of Laboratory and Diagnostic Tests and Wallach's Interpretation of Diagnostic
Tests).
eMedicine
Disease monographs that cover primary care, surgery, trauma, and emergency medicine
topics. Also has a large collection of images, drug information, medical dictionary,
calculators (under eTools). Documents can be downloaded to your PDA. Although some
of eMedicine is free on the web, images and other content must be accessed through
the IUSM authenticated portal.
Harrison's Online
Online version of Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine plus access to a drug
database (Clinical Pharmacology Online), an image gallery, a differential diagnosis
module, patient education, and links to guidelines. Also a link to appendices with
normal laboratory values.
Micromedex
An extensive database of drug monographs that also include toxicology (Poisindex),
reproductive toxicology (ReproRisk), calculators, and reference values.
Metabolic and Molecular Bases of Inherited Disease
Online version of the multi-volume print reference by the same name provides very
complete monographs on genetic diseases.
Primal Pictures Interactive Anatomy
A detailed 3D model of human anatomy. To search for a specific anatomical feature,
using the “choose a title” feature, select the body region from the dropdown menu,
select contents tab on the next screen and enter the anatomical feature of interest.

Physicians’ Education and Information Resource, produced by the American College
of Physicians, is a leading evidence-based medicine point-of-care tool.

MedlinePlus
A resource for patient education with tutorials, surgery videos, drug information,
and medical dictionary.
INHealthConnect
A directory of health-related services in Indiana that include financial, Spanish
language, food pantry, and other that can be located by city, county, or zip code.
