  • Bioethics Digital Library - Produced here at the IU School of Medicine, it includes a digital collection of out-of-print books that are now regarded as "classic texts" in bioethics and humanities; court decisions and legislation; government documents; the "gray" literature (unpublished, but authoritative professional literature such as conference abstracts, presented papers, commission meeting minutes); full text of journal articles; and both audio and visual materials. The scope will include both domestic and international content.

  • Google Scholar - Scholar searches peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, abstracts and articles, from academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories, universities and other scholarly organizations.

  • National Reference Center for Bioethics Research - Specialized collection of books, journals, newspaper articles, legal materials, regulations, codes, government publications, and other relevant documents concerned with issues in biomedical and professional ethics. The library holdings represent the world's largest collection related to ethical issues in medicine and biomedical research.
  • PAIS International (Public Affairs Information Service) [Medical Library Homepage--Databases] - Indexes journal articles, books, government documents, statistical directories, grey literature, research reports, conference reports, publications of international agencies etc. in the areas of public policy, politics, government, social issues, health, education, civil rights, etc.
  • Philosopher’s Index [Medical Library Homepage--Databases] - Bibliographic database with abstracts covering scholarly research in all areas of philosophy.
  • ProQuest Dissertations & Theses [Medical Library Homepage--Databases] - Online access to citations and abstracts for every title in the Dissertation Abstracts database.
  • Web of Science [Medical Library Homepage--Databases] - Includes databases such as Arts & Humanities Citation Index, Social Sciences Citation Index, and Science Citation Index Expanded. Allows general searching AND cited reference searching.
