Library Classes

The Medical Library is the primary resource for the Indiana University School of Medicine, Indiana University School of Nursing Graduate Programs and Wishard Hospital, and is a primary resource for the Indiana University School of Health and Rehabilitation Services.   Faculty, staff, and students of these schools may wish to contact their Medical Library Faculty Liaison about developing a class tailored to a particular specialty, specific curriculum or focused research needs.  A contact list of Medical Library Liaisons is available on the Library Liaison Contacts page.

The Library offers the following classes on a semi-regular basis to IUSM and IUPUI faculty, students and staff. Classes may be offered at the Medical Library training classroom, or at computer training facilities elsewhere on campus.

  • PubMed Unleashed (Advanced PubMed searching)
  • Finding and Using Electronic Resources (Using Internet and Medical Library electronic resources effectively and efficiently)
  • Beginning EndNote (Learn how to use the popular citation management software)
  • Intermediate PowerPoint (Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint instruction)

Unaffiliated groups should send inquiries through the Medical Library's Education and Information Services Department. There may be a fee for non-IUSM affiliated users.
